Sneak Peeks of Charges and Specs - Brooklyn99 S1E22

Brace yourselves, Brooklyn99ers. Not only is this our season finale *sob*, but it is going to go out with a bang.

What!?! I mean, you know Jake will find his way back to the Nine-Nine next season, but what just happened here? Jake was fired, and Charles was dumped? That's huge! (Oh, and did you see Andy's good friend and fellow Lonely Islander Akiva in that clip? That's because he directed this episode! You knew he had to stop by eventually, since the Thanksgiving episode was brilliantly directed by Jorma.)

We'll have to tune in tonight to find out why Jake was fired, but this might give us a clue...

While we deal with the loss of our favorite show until the fall, how is Charles handling his heartbreak?

Count on him to find that silver lining for Rosa! And speaking of Rosa, she rallies the Nine-Nine to help Charles get through this.

Okay, I love that Gina is talking in emoji (eggplant?), but Capt. Holt discussing his previous breakup had me LOLing from my smiley face with an open mouth! By-the-way, the emoji joke is the writer's nod to Chelsea. If you follow her on Twitter, you know that she loves her emoji! And if you aren't following her, click here -> @ChelseaVPeretti

Speaking of inside jokes, did you see that Terry is eating yogurt in this scene? Terry loves yogurt, and I'm betting Terry Crews must eat a lot of yogurt in real life as well.

And speaking of Terry, he shares his story of heartbreak next. But his heart isn't the only thing that breaks in this scene!

Yup, fans of The Guild (myself included), that was the adorable Amy Okuda playing Terry's former girlfriend. Hopefully we revisit Terry's time in Japan again.

What can I say, I hate that this is the last new episode, but I rejoice that we got a full and fabulous first season that I will continue to re-watch and share. This isn't our goodbye though. Throughout the summer we will rank your favorite episodes, hopefully have some giveaways, and countdown to Brooklyn Nine-Nine's triumphant return.

Stay in touch, Brooklyn99ers!
